Louis XVI style fell between 1774–1793, which was at the end of Rococo and the beginning of Neoclassicism.  The Louis XVI stylewas much more of a simpler design and became less ornate than the previous Louis XV styles.  Straight lines and simplicity were found in the constructional details of Louis XVI furniture.  Louis XVI furniture is most distinguished by the fluted leg and at the end is square box filled with a rosette.
